Choosing an Egg Donor

The donors in our Donor IVF Program are between the ages of 21-32 years.  Once you've chosen an egg donor, the Donor must go through a thorough screening process before they are accepted into your doctors IVF program.  They must be proven to be healthy, both physically and psychologically. 

Potential donors will complete questionnaires disclosing information about their family history, personal health history, sexual activity, drug usage, medical background, prescription and over the counter medication taken on a daily basis- as well as child bearing history, educational background, and areas of hobbies, skill and/or interests outside their chosen field.

 Once a couple has decided upon a donor candidate the donor will be referred to the IVF Center where the Intended Parents go for treatment. The IP/recipient's IVF doctor will perform Egg Donor medical screening. Egg Donors must be screened for AMH/ FSH levels,  hormone levels, Ultrasound scans, various other bloods tests, Sexually transmitted diseases FDA tests. toxicology, pap smear and cultures, Psychological evaluation as well as specific genetic mutation tests based upon the heritage of the donor.

Egg donor compensation payment will be made to an attorney utilizing escrow services at the point the donor is fully screened and cleared to cycle by your IVF Physician. The compensation payment will be held in escrow until the egg donor undergoes egg retrieval. Once the egg donor has completed egg retrieval, the attorney will forward the egg donor compensation payment to the egg donor overnight. The fee for escrow services is $450.00

Once the donor has been cleared to cycle by your IVF doctor a policy of egg donor complication insurance will be ordered; to cover the egg donor medically for the process of egg donation. If your IVF center does not order Egg Donor Complication insurance for an Egg Donor from an outside donor agency; we will help you order egg donor complication insurance. You will be responsible for covering the cost of this policy. We work with ART Risk agency the fee for this policy is approximately  $400.00 to cover the egg donor medically in the event of an unforeseen complication due to the cycle of egg donation. Payment would not be due until the cycle has been assigned a cycle start date; at which time the policy will be order and put in place for your egg donor.

We guarantee that after you have chosen your egg donor and paid the egg donor matching fee: should your chosen egg donor prove unacceptable by your doctor, that we will work with you to choose a new donor candidate of your choice at no additional cost. 

In the unlikely event that an egg donor cycle is canceled due to no fault of the egg donor after injectable medications have begun- the donor will be instructed to return all unused medications by the IVF doctor. The intended parent(s) would be responsible for paying a reduced egg donor compensation to the egg donor between $500.00- $1,000.00 (depending upon your physician's recommendation) for the donors' time, effort and commitment. 

Once you’ve chosen an anonymous egg donor that you would like to cycle with, we will forward a matching contract to you to work with that donor. There is a one time matching fee for matching the anonymous egg donor to the intended parents. Once the contract and payment have been received we will forward the donors application and match materials to the IVF Physician of your choice. Your physician will begin medical screening for your anonymous egg donor.
