A Past Donor Shared -
“Being an egg donor and the process of donation (the medications, office visits and retrieval) was much easier than I imagined it would be! It was a wonderful experience. I’m very happy to know that I made a positive contribution in someone else’s life. I recommend Egg Donation for other women as a way of helping with expenses while doing something very good for someone else.”
Due to the time commitment, effort, and commute associated with the Egg Donation Process, the compensation for a donor's time and effort starts at $9,000.00 for the first cycle of egg donation. Egg Donors with previous successful cycles of egg donation can receive higher compensation with each cycle of donation- up to $15,000.00 or more for a completed cycle of Egg Donation. Note that first time Egg Donors must be between the ages of 21-29.
Egg Donation requires a short term commitment. Medical Screening usually takes between 4-6 weeks while the actual cycle of Egg Donation takes approximately 10-12 days on average. Living within commuting distance of the New York City metro area is a plus. An Intended Parent may also choose a donor that lives outside of NY State. Under these circumstances, the Intended Parent will cover the cost of travel expenses for the donor to cycle in the NYC area.
...in becoming an egg donor, you will be required to complete a Donor Questionnaire, and disclose information about your general health, family history, social habits, psychological health, and educational background. An Egg Donor may be required to undergo a physician consultation/exam and psychological evaluation to determine your eligibility as an egg donor. Other testing to determine if you qualify will include; DNA testing, blood tests, toxicology, pap smear, and cultures as well as specific genetic mutation tests (dependent on your family heritage).
... if you tell us about your education, hobbies, unique talents, special skills, and activities you pursue for recreation. Intended parents and mothers will most likely seek a donor most similar to themselves.
The Questionnaire and application materials will include: current photos, childhood photos, and copies of government issued photo I.D. for verification of identity. We will contact you as soon as we receive your questionnaire and supporting documentation.
